With an aim to motivate overseas Indian youth to develop interest to know and understand India, as envisaged by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, a second edition of “BHARAT KO JANIYE” (BKJ) quiz is being organised by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India for which website is now live with web portal https://bharatkojaniye.in and Overseas Indian youths across the world have already started registering on the web portal.
The quiz is open for overseas Indian youths between the age of 15 and 35 years as on 1 January 2019(born not before 1.1.1984 and not after 1.1.1.2014). The online quiz is held for two distinct categories of PIO and NRI and in four rounds.
The following may please be noted regarding the BKJ:
(1) It is mandatory for the candidate to complete online registration at Portal www.bharatkojaniye.in to participate in the quiz for 1st round.
(2) Quiz will be conducted in four rounds. The first round will be conducted by the High Commission of India ONLINE. The round will contain 30 questions to be selected randomly by the computer to be answered in 25 minutes. There will be no negative marking. Indian origin youths do not possess OCI/PIO cards may also participate in the 1st round without submitting proof of OCI/PIO documents.
(3) The top 3 contenders/participants of the 1st round of quiz from each category of NRI and PIO will qualify for 2nd round. The top 3 contenders/participants of the 1st round from each category will be given medals by the High Commission.
(4) The second, third and fourth round will be conducted by Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. The 10 finalists from each category of NRI and PIO will be invited to India for a 15-day Bharat Ko Janiye Yatra including a visit to Lakshadweep (Union Territory of India).
