Delhi : President Pranab Mukherjee on Wednesday conveyed his deep concern and sympathy over the non-traceability of a Malaysian Airlines flight, which has been missing since Friday.
"On behalf of the government and people of India and my own behalf, I wish to convey our deep concern and sympathy to the government of Malaysia and to the families of those who were aboard the flight," he said in a statement issued by the Indian High Commission here.
The president said India's officials had been in constant contact with Malaysian authorities, and were ready to provide any help needed.In addition to the many Malaysians and other nationalities, five Indian nationals were also on board the flight."Our sympathies and prayers are with families of those on that flight and we pray for them," he said.
