Celebrated actress and danseuse Padmashri Shobana presents 'Krishna' a two and half hour dance musical with classical, folk, contemporary dances based on the chronicles of the Hindu deity Krishna. Sound engineering for this production is by the Oscar award winning Resul Pookkutty (Slumdog Millionaire) and it has voice-overs in English by several famous film personalities including Surya, Konkona Sen, Shabana Azmi and Nandita Das.
It is a two n half hours choreographed entertainment with dance (fusion of classical, folk and contemporary), music (classical as well as popular film scores), video projections, dialogues in English, glittery costumes, light effects etc based on the stories of Krishna performed by the danseuse Padmashri Shobana and her group, 14 dancers.
An evening of spectacular works of ace Choreographer and Actor Shobana. Crafted for lovers of the avant-garde, innovative with classical and bollywood dancing. Krishna – the musical showcases the man, his philosophy and why he is still beyond man's understanding. All on a canvas from Vrindavan, Mathura to Kurukshetra. It is for this, Krishna will speak out more clearly than shows in the past.
