Pooja Devariya, a professional theatre artist has bagged praises from Critics as well as from the audience for her dynamic performance in the recent hits ‘Kuttrame Thandanai’ and ‘Aandavan Kattalai’. It is to be noted that the High-Octane actress is eagerly waiting for her next upcoming film ‘Vallavanukum Vallavum’ that has Producer – Actor Bobby Simha in the lead.
The renowned theatre artist cum actress has been awarded the ‘Emerging Artists Award’ at the Short and Sweet Theatre Festival’s Hollywood edition in Los Angeles, the largest short theatre festival in the world. Pooja Devariya along with Mathivanan Rajendran of Stray Factory were the only Indian contingent with groups from Mexico, USA, Australia and UAE and featured Emmy award winning actors and writers.
The two plays performed by them were ‘My Name is Cine-maa’ and ‘Va Van Gogh’. The award was given also in recognition of 50 performances of the play ‘My Name is Cine-ma’ which has won Pooja and Mathivanan Best Actress and Best Director awards in Short and Sweet Festivals in Chennai, Mumbai and Kuala Lumpur. In addition to this the play has been performed in Sydney and Auckland as well.
