The Asian Management Conclave was held in Singapore Management University from12 to 13 March 2015.The theme of the conclave was “Management Education in Asia-STRATEGIES TO LEAP FROG”.50 business schools from 15 Asian countries participated in the event. This is the first Asian conclave, and the next one is planned in Singapore during February 2016.
Asia’s unprecedented growth is perhaps the most successful story of economic development in recent times.The rapid rise of Asia has witnessed a significant economic power and opportunity shift from the West to the East. This presents imminent potential for 8500 Asian business schools, which account for 55 percent of the total number of B-schools in the world, to vitally change the Asian way of doing business through management education.
Dr.Jitendra V Singh, Dean, School of Business Management, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, inaugurated the event. Dr.Gerard George, Dean, and Professor of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Lee Kong Chian School of Business, Singapore Management University gave the key- note address.
