Facebook tests new version of Messenger for Android and iOS with a refreshed look, quicker access to chats. The update also brings a redesigned logo and a Messenger icon to indicate which contacts are logged from the standalone Messenger app. It is also possible to communicate with people who are not friends using only their phone number, once a user has registered their own number first.
Tapping across the top of the app's UI and swiping left or right will now reveal recent convos, a list of those folks you speak to on the regular and a settings window.
