The prestigious "Pravasi Express “Young Achiever Award" was presented to Mr Varun Chandran. The award was given during Pravasi Express second anniversary celebrations at Somerset Nexus Auditorium, coloured with musical concert and cultural programs.
The award was given considering the great achievement through struggles. Varun, a farmer-boy from Kerala, football star and college drop-out , today is a millionaire who runs a multinational technical firm . From being barely able to feed himself, to being able to create a global footprint with offices in four continents, Varun was able to mark an inspirational success story which fetches him the prestigious Pravasi Express “Young Achiever Award”.
Indian High Commission First Secretary Mr.Babu Paul and Pravasi Express Chief Editor Rajesh Kumar were present in the function.
Few other awards also were distributed in the function . They were given to Legend Singer P Jayachandran ( Life Time Achievement Award), Malasian Business Man Tanri Datuk Ravindran Menon (Malayali Ratna Award), South Indian Super Star Priya Mani ( Youth Icon Award ), Senior and Poet from Singapore MK Bhasi (Literary award ), Upcoming Singapore Malayalee Businessman Reju Kumar ( Young entrepreneur award), Business man and NORKA director Alexander Vadakkedam ( Business Excellence Award ),Real Estate firm Kristal Group Director Latha K Namboodiri ( Vanita Ratna Award), Artist Anjali George ( Raising star of the year ).
After the award ceremony musical concert led by Legendary Singer P Jayachandran , Ragesh Brahmanandan , Snehaja , Chandralekha , Mohiniattam performance by Gayathri Devi & fusion dance by the Singapore dancers were performed.
