Wigan win the FA Cup Final beating Manchester City 1-0 to lift their first major silverware in their 81 year history.
After a nervy opening five minutes it's Wigan who look in control. Wigan played with great intensity and their hard-work was rewarded at the stroke on 90th minute when the substitute Ben Watson headed in the winner from near-post from Shaun Maloney's corner.
Substitute Watson, who has missed much of the season after breaking his leg in November, sent Wigan's fans into ecstasy! Wigan are only the fourth team in FACup history to win the trophy without winning a single home tie along the way.
"We've won the FACup and we're in Europe next season and it doesn't get better than that – unbelievable," says Ben Watson.
Wigan manager Roberto Martinez: "This is an incredible moment. This group of players just keep fighting & believing"
Wigan owner Dave Whelan: "It's fantastic, I had the dream and the dream has come true."
Man City boss Roberto Mancini: "I thought it was a good game. We didn't play well, we didn't play like we usually do"
