On Thursday, April 4, Sunita Kejriwal, the wife of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, held a press conference where she conveyed a message from the incarcerated Chief Minister. According to Sunita Kejriwal, Arvind Kejriwal urged AAP MLAs to visit their respective constituencies daily to address and resolve the issues faced by the people.
Sunita Kejriwal stated, “Arvind Kejriwal has sent a message to all MLAs: ‘Just because I am in jail, the people of Delhi should not suffer in any way. Every MLA should visit their area every day, discuss people’s problems, and resolve them.'”
This press conference followed a day after AAP MP Sanjay Singh was released from Tihar jail after a six-month detention. Sanjay Singh later visited Sunita Kejriwal at her residence in Delhi. Arvind Kejriwal, who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with a money laundering case related to the now-repealed Delhi excise policy, remains in judicial custody at Tihar jail until April 15.
It is noteworthy that Sunita Kejriwal, who refrained from active political involvement while her husband was in office, has recently made three heartfelt video statements. In her latest video message on March 29, she launched the ‘Kejriwal ko Aashirwad’ campaign, encouraging people to support her husband. She provided two WhatsApp numbers, 8297324624 and 9700297002, through which people can send their blessings, prayers, or other messages to the AAP national convenor. Sunita Kejriwal assured that she would relay these messages to him.
